保障公众私生活“安宁权”，到构筑个人信息安全防火墙；从全面建立反性骚扰制度防线，到及时应对基因编辑等新技术对人格权的挑战……保护人格权、维护人格尊严，是我国法治建设的重要任务。民法典加强人格权立法，使其独立成编，强化对人格的全面保护，让人民生活更有尊严。

在人格权编中，不仅仅对民事主体，尤其是自然人的生命权、身体权、健康权、姓名权、肖像权、名誉权、荣誉权、隐私权等人格权进行了周到的确认和保障，同时，对于人身自由和人格尊严有关的人格利益，也进行了相应的确认和保障。
